“It’s an amazing feeling after creating work for two decades, I still love

the photographs I made twenty years ago as much as the ones I make today. From day one, my goal has been simple: make timeless work that resonates with me and my clients over time as much as it does the day it’s made. I feel so grateful my amazing clients allow me to do this for a living.

I archive life, make beautiful things, create art for the best clients all over the world and mentor fellow creatives through my education platforms — what could be better?"

Amanda, named one of the top 20 photographers in the U.S., has been working with studio clients, art collectors and mentoring students for two decades.

Her work has lined the pages of leading wedding publications including Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Town & Country, Real Simple Weddings, Martha Stewart Weddings, Inside Weddings, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, Modern Bride, and more. She's been featured in industry publications including Photo District News (PDN), Rangefinder, and Professional Photographer. Amanda was twice awarded the coveted Photo District News (PDN) Top Knots Awards and her body of work is profiled in three books including Wedding Photography Unveiled by Jacqueline Tobin for PDN, Ultimate Wedding Look Book by The Knot and Photographer's Guide to Wedding Album Design and Sales by Bob Coates.

Amanda documents client commissions worldwide every year, creates art for her devoted collectors, and teaches fellow creative entrepreneurs through her online education platform and professional consulting.

She holds a BFA in photography and art history from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied at the Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy. Amanda calls Oak Park, Illinois home where she lives with her family, Tod, Emmet and Zoe, and two exceptionally lazy Border Terriers, Izzy & Mavis.

Nº WEDDINGS?

Personally over 500! That's a lot of notches on my camera strap. We've documented 2000+ weddings at the studio.

I'm allergic to:

Fake anything, excuses, fluff (ski snow excluded), inefficiency, and soy (seriously).

YOU CAN FIND ME:

When I'm not working with my amazing clients, I Mom pretty hard. Check the ski lifts, beach chair or National Parks if I'm OOo playing with my fam: Tod, Emmet & Zoe.

cool stufF:

Co-piloted a plane in the Amazon, climbed Cotopaxi, turned an art degree into a thriving biz, one of my checklists was published in a book, and sang ON STAGE with KT Tunstall, Sheryl Crow & Brandi Carlile (Wait, WHAT?)

photo style:

Timeless. Authentic. Natural. SOMETIMES ABStract. ALWAYS REAL

P.S. If you like table shots, I'm not your gal. I capture what's *really* happening at the table.

client love notes

I can honestly say that I could not have chosen a better photographer than Amanda. Her images are absolutely beautiful and her kind personality made working with her a pleasure. Every time I look at the wonderful photographs in our wedding album, I am instantly reminded of the joy and love that filled our Caribbean island wedding."
