What started as a long-distance romance has now blossomed into a beautiful life together. After meeting through Allison’s brother, what began as a budding friendship quickly became something more, though geography was never on Allison + Jeff’s side. However, after two years of traveling I-55 and saying sad goodbyes in train stations, a job promotion allowed Allison to join Jeff in St. Louis. Jeff proposed over Labor Day weekend last year and Allison said an enthusiastic, “Yes!”
Artisan Events Principal Amanda Sudimack took a trip to St. Louis earlier this year to join this sweet couple for a portrait session.
They say, “We were so excited Amanda was able to come to St. Louis to shoot our engagement photos. Our wedding will be in Allison’s hometown of Chicago, but it was important to us to document where we live now. St. Louis has a rich history and beautiful public spaces – it’s one of our favorite things about living here. We began our day at Forest Park, home to many St. Louis landmarks like the Jewel Box, Worlds Fair Pavilion and the MUNY. We then moved on to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We ended our day just before sunset at the newly renovated historic Central Library.
Amanda made us feel so comfortable and captured images that felt like us. We had so much fun spending the day together. We feel lucky to have such beautiful pictures to remember this exciting time in our lives. Now, we can’t wait until the big day in November!”
Allison & Jeff will tie the knot this fall at the historic Chicago Cultural Center for what is sure to be a gorgeous celebration orchestrated by the fabulous Bliss Weddings & Events team. We can’t wait to join them! Thanks for sharing your love story, Allison + Jeff!
